Our Story
Who is R.E.E.S.A.?
R.E.E.S.A. stands for Repair, Educate, Empower, Serve, and Advance – the core values that drive our mission to empower marginalized communities worldwide. Our team is made up of passionate individuals who are dedicated to creating a better future through practical support, education, and advocacy efforts.
Our founders, Elex and Tanisha Henry, initially launched R.E.E.S.A. in 2013 as Elex Children's Haven. Since then, we have grown into an innovative nonprofit organization with a global reach. We believe in making a tangible impact on the world around us by addressing immediate needs while also advocating for systemic change.
At R.E.E.S.A., we are more than just words and actions; we are driven by our passion and determination to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve. Join us in our mission to bridge the gap between surviving and thriving, one family at a time.
"Every individual has the potential to achieve greatness, but poverty often acts as a significant barrier. We strive to remove those barriers and empower individuals to reach their full potential and live with dignity and independence."
