Elex Children’s Haven
R.E.E.S.A. is proud to have its roots in Elex Children's Haven. This organization, founded in 2013, was dedicated to supporting young adults aging out of the foster care system. Through transitional housing and services, Elex Children's Haven helped these individuals gain the skills and resources necessary to thrive in independent living.
Here are some key highlights of our impact:
Transitional Residential Services
Provided housing for over 8 youth preparing to age out of the foster care system
Offered mentoring, counseling, and life coaching services
Helped 95% of participants transition into independent living
Community Outreach Programs
Distributed over $35,000 worth of essential items like food, clothing, and hygiene products to those in need
Offered educational toys and games for children in low-income families
Partnered with local organizations to provide job training opportunities
Relaunch as R.E.E.S.A.
In 2023, Elex Children's Haven was relaunched as R.E.E.S.A. - Repair, Educate, Empower, Serve, Advance. This relaunch allowed us to expand our mission and serve a wider range of individuals in need, including those from low-income families and communities facing economic challenges.
Though we may have a new name, we are proud of our roots in Elex Children's Haven and the impact we were able to make for young adults aging out of the foster care system. With R.E.E.S.A., we continue to strive towards creating a culture of self-sufficiency and empowerment for all those in need.
